FAQ

The big question: Why should we hire YOU for our wedding?

A: Why should I be your wedding photographer? Because I will take care of you as if you were my family. I will consult with you on what are you expecting on your special day. Because I will be here for you, as a resource with almost two decades of experience. Because weddings can be stressful and overwhelming, and I will be right there to support the entire time.

Do you work with a second photographer?

A: Most of the time I am a one-person photographer. However, if your wedding needs additional photographers (like if you have more than 150 guests and/or a really big wedding party, or we'll need to travel to several locations on your day), I know many very talented wedding photographers to invite.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual wedding?

A: Absolutely! I wouldn’t miss your wedding for anything! Not even if there is a tornado.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

A: Equipment needs vary pretty wildly from one wedding to the next. But I always prepare (for everything in life) by packing way more stuff than I expect to need. And then when I think I have everything I could possibly need, I pack some more.

Do you have insurance?

A: Yes. Many venues will refuse to allow me (or any wedding vendor) in the door without liability insurance. And most of them aren’t going to believe I’m your cousin-with-a-camera either.

Do you have replacement wedding photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

A: Yes, I have a network of experienced colleagues I can call upon, and I’m always making more friends. In this business, you can never have too many friends. Actually, I’m pretty sure that’s kind of true about life in general.

How soon after our wedding will our photos be available?

A: Within two or three weeks of your wedding, your photo gallery will be available online.

Do you retain the copyrights for the photos?

A: Yes, as your professional wedding photographer, I will retain copyright of all your wedding images, however you will always have an official copyright release in your online photo gallery for you allowing unlimited personal use and printing of your wedding photos.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

A: I prefer to; however, this is negotiable. I respect your privacy and I will never insist on retaining any right to publish photos of you. But I hope you’ll agree that your photos are amazing enough to share!

What kind of wedding albums do you offer?

A: We love to see your photos come to life, and we have several wedding album options for you to choose from. Wedding albums are also included in a couple of our wedding photography packages so you get the best rates on everything you want. All our wedding albums and books are lay-flat style. Wedding albums and parent albums are leather or silk cover bound, with all images silk printed on archival paper and flush mounted. Books are press printed and have custom designed printed covers.

When will we get our wedding album?

A: Wedding albums are ordered immediately upon your final approval of the photo layout from client and generally arrive 2-4 months after that. Because our wedding albums are hand made, the amount of time to complete them can vary, but it’s so worth the wait!
